- Itinerary and proof of onward/return travel
- Proof of accommodation and of sufficient funds

Why this verdict
Ukraine is not on Japan's visa-exemption list, so ordinary-passport holders need a short-term visa before travel. Japan's Embassy in Ukraine currently accepts only specified business, relative-visit and official applications; other applicants may contact a Japanese mission in the country where they are staying. The Embassy does not accept online applications. JAPAN eVISA eligibility is based partly on country of residence, so a Ukrainian citizen residing in a supported jurisdiction may have an online tourism route; it is not a nationality-wide waiver.
