Transit

airside transit: conditional; landside transit: required; Airport transit visa rules depend on the Schengen state, airport route and exemptions. Entering the Schengen area, changing to a Schengen domestic segment, collecting bags landside or otherwise crossing border control requires meeting the normal Schengen visa rule.

• Nigerian passport valid at least 3 months beyond planned departure from the Schengen area and issued within the last 10 years
• completed Schengen visa application
• travel medical insurance valid for the Schengen area
• proof of accommodation, funds and trip purpose
• return or onward ticket

Why this verdict

Nigerian citizens need a Schengen short-stay visa before travelling to Lithuania for ordinary tourism, family visits or short business trips. The visa covers up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the Schengen area as a whole, not 90 days per country.
